HMAS Sydney with crew fallen in at Procedure Alpha (lining the exterior of the ship in ceremonial uniform) as stern-boards, with the assistance of a tug, and departs Fleet Base East-Garden Island.

*** Local Caption *** HMAS Choules has finally returned to sea after an extensive maintenance period. Following a successful Readiness Assessment on 12 April 13, she is now back in her designated role as a seagoing amphibious platform asset. She is able to house and sustain a large force of Army troops as well as accommodate vehicles of all sizes including tanks as well as helicopters belonging to both Army and Navy.
During her current deployment she will sail up the East Coast of Australia, visit the city of Cairns in North Queensland and participate in community events, as well as partake in exercises off the coast of Queensland.
