The Guard of Honour from HMAS Cerberus on the forecourt of the Shrine of Remembrance for the 2013 Melbourne Remembrance Day Service. *** Local Caption *** Corporal Mark Donaldson, VC, attends the Victorian Remembrance Day Service at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne on Monday, 11 November 2013. The Governor of Victoria, The Honourable Alex Chernov, AC, QC, The Prime Minister the Honourable Tony Abbott MP and the Premier of Victoria the Honourable Dr Denis Napthine MP also attended the service. The service marks the 79th anniversary of the dedication of the Shrine. The Remembrance Day Service incorporated a formal military parade, one minute of silence at 11am, a RAAF Museum flyover and the Remembrance Day Address by the Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Alex Chernov, AC, QC. Korean War veteran, Mr Tom Parkinson, recited The Ode of Remembrance and music was provided by the Australian Air Force Band. The tri-service flag party, Navy Guard, Cadet Australian Flag Party and Shrine Guards were also in attendance.
